A calm atmosphere unlike a typical bright brunch café
The interior felt a little different from the bright, casual atmosphere of a typical brunch café.
Soft lighting and plants throughout the space gave the restaurant a calm and cozy feel.

The name Grotto was inspired by GROTTO, a famous cave attraction in Saipan.
The concept is a relaxing urban getaway where people can enjoy different food cultures, inspired by Saipan as a place where visitors from many countries come together.

The atmosphere works not only for brunch but also for dates or first meetings. In the evening, it also seemed suitable for enjoying a glass of wine.
Grotto is known as a local restaurant that started in Suwon Yeongtong in 2011. Some of its signature dishes are now also sold as convenient ready-to-eat products.
What comes with the set for two?
We chose the set for two because we wanted to try several dishes together.
Our choices were Mexican Cream Pasta and Beef Brisket Pizza, and the set also came with a salad.

We started with the salad, then shared the pasta and pizza together.
For two people having weekend lunch, the portion was satisfying with the salad included.
What does the Mexican Cream Pasta taste like?
One of Grotto’s signature dishes is the Mexican Cream Pasta.
Unlike a typical white cream pasta, it uses a spicy cream sauce with a reddish color.

It includes seafood such as shrimp and squid, along with shishito-style peppers and broccoli.
The cream sauce is smooth, but the added heat keeps it from feeling overly rich.
Of the dishes we tried, the Mexican Cream Pasta was the most memorable. The contrast of creamy and spicy flavors was what made it stand out.
How was the Beef Brisket Pizza?
For the pizza, we chose the Beef Brisket Pizza.
As the name suggests, thinly sliced beef brisket is placed on top, giving it a different style from a standard cheese pizza.

The meat made the pizza feel filling when paired with the pasta.
In particular, the combination of a bite of spicy Mexican Cream Pasta followed by a slice of pizza worked well.
Still, the pizza itself was slightly less impressive than the Mexican Cream Pasta. For two people, ordering one pasta and one pizza was a good way to enjoy different flavors in one meal.
Is Grotto good for brunch and dates?
Grotto felt better suited to a relaxed meal and conversation than to a quick in-and-out dining experience.

Besides pasta and pizza, the menu also includes risotto, steak and salads. Wine and beer are available too, so the atmosphere can work differently during the day and in the evening.
It seemed suitable for brunch during the day and for dates or gatherings in the evening.

Pet-friendly seating and baby chairs
Grotto allows pets and also has baby chairs available.
This can be useful to know if you are planning a meal with a pet or visiting with children.
